Abstract

Hatching success for leatherback turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) was low at 4 important nesting beaches in Papua, with high rates of tidal inundation, pig predation, and possible temperature effects. Better protection from pigs and possible nest relocation may be needed to improve hatching success for leatherbacks.
